WHAT IS RED BULL KUMITE?
This July, the most prestigious fighting game invitational tournament will come to Pretoria, South Africa. Red Bull Kumite 2023 will see some of the world’s best fighters clash across two days of action.
As one of the first major Street Fighter 6 events, Kumite will host 16 players to compete against one another in a fierce battle of wills:
15 strong players from all over the world are directly invited for the MAIN EVENT.
1 final participant must qualify from the LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER (LCQ)
Player matchups will be randomly drawn, and these titans will face off in First to 5 matches to determine the ultimate Kumite Champion!

HOW?
Both LCQ and Main Event will be organized on PlayStation 5 (120hz/VRR). Players will have to bring their own controllers. Please confirm before attending if your controller of choice is compatible with the PlayStation 5 .
Please note: the PlayStation 4 controller is not compatible with the PlayStation 5. PlayStation 5 controllers will be provided on-site if needed.
HOW CAN I SPECTATE ON SITE?
LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER:
You cannot spectate on-site for the LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER. Only LCQ registered players can enter and spectate the LCQ.
All the LCQ players will get a free VISITOR PASS for the MAIN EVENT as well.

LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER - JULY 1
[Tournament Format]
The ”RED BULL KUMITE – LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER 2023” is a double elimination tournament involving 128 PLAYERS. The winner of the Last Chance Qualifier will qualify for the Red Bull Kumite Main Event set on July 02.[The tournament is broken down in 2 phases]
The «Group Stage» phase, where the 128 LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER PLAYERS are distributed into 8 pools where they fight in a double elimination ”mini-tournament” of 16 PLAYERS. The ”TOP 24” phase, where the 3 best PLAYERS in each pool (24 PLAYERS in total) fight in a final double elimination TOP 24 final.[Tournament Seeding]
8 PLAYERS will be selected as ”seeded players” and will be distributed accordingly by Start.gg into the 8 different pools. The 120 remaining LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER PLAYERS will be distributed at random into the 8 pools, each one thus containing 16 PLAYERS.[Match Format]
First to 2 (BO3) matches until TOP 8. Top 8 will be played in First to 3 matches (BO5).MAIN EVENT - JULY 2
[Tournament Format]
The ”RED BULL KUMITE – MAINT EVENT” is a single elimination tournament involving 16 PLAYERS. Only 15 invited players by Red Bull can participate + the winner of the Last Chance Qualifier.[One phase tournament]
Players are not seeded: the “Bracket Draw” is done at the start of the tournament, during the opening ceremony. A 16 players bracket in 4 stages: Round 1 (8th Finals) / Quarterfinals / Semifinals / Final First to 5 (BO9) for all the matches!RED BULL KUMITE CONTROLLER USAGE REGULATIONS
Regarding the use of controllers, Red Bull Kumite follows the same rules as those updated by the publisher Capcom for the Capcom Pro Tour.
